KREUZER - CONCRETECREEPSFILTH

"Endzeit Null"

Kreuzer Music - 2007

CDr - 100 copies

This split CDr brings to our attention two new names of the deepest industrial underground: Kreuzer from Israel and Concretecreepsfilth from France. There are eight tracks on the disc, four for each project, showing a rather similar yet different approach to the noisy musical matter.

Kreuzer defines his sound as "history noise", reflecting the large use of samples from old recordings and historical documents to recreate a certain period and comment on it. It's easy to recognize the influence of Les Joyaux De La Princesse in the concept, but the sound is actually a lot harsher, with metal thuds and machinery rhythms that recall the works of the original prime-mover of French industrial: Vivenza. Similarly but not equally effective, Concretecreepsfilth explores rhythmic noise and alienated atmospheres in an even louder way, with tons of distortions and saturations. The best achievmente of the Israeli project is surely final "Industrial Promenade", an interesting and quite original noisy dub ride.

"Endzeit Null" won't change your life, as nothing of what you find on the CDr is either revolutionary or instant classic, but is anyway worth a listening if you like the aforementioned LJDLP, Vivenza, or Ant Zen rhythmic noise. The edition is limited to 100 copies, half of which will be sold on the French market and the other half on the Israeli, with a different case.
