This album, realized together with the "CircuZ KumP" company, is a sort of concept inspired by freaks of the first half of the 20th Century . Ataraxia affirm to have been contacted by a medium and to have found themselves in the middle of a séance, during which they were brought directly in among strange cabaret artists in Paris back to the beginning of 20th Century.

Starting from this legendary premise, "Paris spleen" is born, a fine piece of art realized after two years of work and able to show the unbelievable versatility of Ataraxia, who with this experience are exploring a new musical dimension in such an evocative atmosphere made of smoky rooms, barking dogs, illusionists and acrobats. A cursed world where vivid and powerful figures like Mme Bistouri take shape, an environment described by lyrics freely inspired to Baudelaire’s verses "Paris Spleen", who better than any other was able to give us portraits of that disquieting underground world.

Francesca’s sensuous, warm, persuasive, worrisome, terrifying vocals, combined to the great ability of the musicians, bring the listener for more than 45 minutes in a travel through time and space, living an experience that seems to go beyond the mere imagination. You can shiver on the notes of tracks like "N'Importe Ou.." or "Tango Des-Astres", afraid to come across some strange creature… In this fascinating phantom-cabaret, every character, gesture or word seems to be nothing but a grotesque representation of human life.
